Emu (Ankerr) Tucker Dreaming by Dolly Petyarre Mills

Dolly Petyarre Mills was born in 1948 at Boundary Bore Outstation on Utopia in the Northern Territory. She is Emily Kame Kngwarreye’s niece.

The major subject of her work is Yam (Anaty) Dreaming and Emu Tucker (Ankerr) Dreaming. Dolly uses a broad palette in delicate patterning with a finely pointed stick.

She participated in the Utopia, A Picture Story which included 88 silk batiks from Robert Holmes a Court collection.
